For this part of the project, I was focusing on using colour to communicate a feeling through a illustration. I was given an extract from Centuries of meditations by Thomas Traherne. Alongside the text we were given art directions to follow.

I stared off by looking into relevant images that could relate to the text. This meant looking into colour pallets and other religious paintings. After I had looked over them i began to work on the thumbnailing.
It was at this point that I began to struggle, When reading the text I found that there was too much information to fit into my work. I wanted to make sure that the key information was showing through in my work, to help with my problem, I looked back over the art direction and that helped me break down my work more.
