Development

This set exercise is based on self improvement and understanding my current skill set, to do this I have to create a action plan for over the summer to help me focus on these elements. The action plan can take any form as long as it is practical and reflects myself.
From the beginning I really enjoyed the idea of making a board game, using the movement of the game to give me ideas on artwork to create. I also want to bring in Graphic Design elements to help me with my page composition and typography work.

One thing that is important in a board game is the rules, and how easy they are to understand. I want the rules to be simple as it will be easier to collect ideas for my artworks throughout. Dice will be used to move counters along the board and when you land on a special space you pick up a card. When you have a card take tone of the words on it, they will be elements that need to be added into your artwork.

I found a colour scheme online that I liked and decided to develop my work around it. After some group feedback I found that it was too boring and didn't reflect me as a person. To continue with my development I went with a watercolour theme that would reflect upon some of my earlier development sketches.
